#1 Transitioning to a High-Fat Diet

Ditching the carbs wasn’t easy for Matt, who, in the video above, talks about how his culture and foodie predilection for carbs made switching to a high-fat diet challenging.

He snacked on high-fat cheese and sought out protein-based foods like bacon and eggs to keep ketone levels high and fat-burning in motion. It was difficult cutting out the carbs, but he did it…and you can too!

#2 Consistency…Especially When Eating Out

It’s hard to give away the mashed potatoes that come as part of your steak and potatoes entrée, but that’s just what Matt had to do.

Keto diet tip: so you aren’t tempted, switch out the side for a more keto-approved option, like some low-carb grilled veggies.

And when it comes to chips and dip, well, you’ll have to lose the chips.

Matt leaves us with some words of encouragement: “If you can primarily focus on trying to overcome those two challenges you can definitely see results with this diet!”

Thanks, Matt!

  1. Well Matt, I was in the same boat but a little different situation. I am a type 2 diabetic. Yep, type 2. I am also a 100% disabled veteran who was wounded in Viet Nam. That is not a fun thing to go through. Felt so sorry for myself and did not or could not exercise. That there is how I got into a feeding frenzy for 40 plus years. A-1c out of control, feeling crappy all the time not sleeping and most of all to embarrassed to get out of the house because of the way I looked. Not anymore. I read some articles on this here computer and thought who knows if it will work for me,so I started about 6 wks ago. I am now a true believer now as I lost OVER 30 lbs. in the last 6 weeks. Nope, you read it right Over 30 lbs in 6 weeks. Beat that one………
I have a ways to go for my goal and will write again in a few months to let you that I was successful. I will also enclose before and after my goal pictures.
